This is the video of our first litter that began the Blue Collar Mutts Rescue organization, and the sweet animals that continue to drive us to do what we do today!
ABOUT US AND OUR MISSION
We are "Blue Collar Mutts Rescue" (BCMR), a friendly, foster-based, non-profit organization driven by a fervent passion for helping animals in need. Founded in 2020, we have successfully rescued and assisted with the placement of over 1,000 animals from our community, operating not out of a physical building, but through a network of loving and caring volunteers who foster our rescue pets in their homes. This foster model creates a nurturing, home environment for our animals while we provide the necessary vetting, food, and supplies to return them to good health.
Every creature has a story and it's our mission to ensure each tale has a happy ending. From frightened pups found on the roadside to older dogs whose human companions could no longer care for them, we offer each one a sanctuary filled with love, care, and a pathway to a new forever home.
Beyond rescue and rehoming, BCMR is also actively involved in reducing the number of strays and unwanted animals in our community. We do this through offering education, resources, and when possible, financial aid for spay and neuter programs. Additionally, our rescue provides low-cost vaccinations and microchipping services, ensuring not only the health of our community's pets but also improving their chances of finding their way back home if lost.
None of this would be possible without the heartfelt support from our community. BCMR operates solely on donations and the occasional grant. It is the partnerships within our community that truly enable us to continue our work, encouraging others to join us as animal welfare advocates.
